Good Karma Training

I highly recommend Good Karma Training for providing excellent training services for my American Stafford Terrier (pit bull). I adopted him as a rescue dog from a local shelter in New Jersey. He is a great dog but had shown some aggression toward other dogs on walks and pulled a lot on the leash, behaviors that I wanted to resolve so that I could bring my dog to parks to enjoy the outdoors. After the two weeks of training, my dog's behavior transformed because of the Good Karma Training program. After returning, I took my dog for a walk. He did great! He did not pull me at all, heeled very well, and he even heard a small dog barking in a house and did not react. The difference Good Karma Training made in the 2 weeks of his board and train was amazing! Stephanie from Good Karma Training is a consummate professional. After reaching out to her for training, she quickly returned my calls and ensured that I was comfortable and on board with her methods and philosophy. She provided daily updates on social media during the two week board and train and has always been available to answer questions in the year since the training ended. For these reasons, I highly recommend Good Karma Training if you want effective dog training from a high quality trainer. The training methods are effective, aimed at calming the canine mind, and result in a dog who can become a well behaved part of your family.

Full Disclosure: Steph and I met when she stopped me to tell me that she was impressed with the way I handled dogs on walks. She explained that she was a dog trainer and we became fast friends. She has sent clients to me. That out of the way, 3 years ago I adopted a 95 pound German Shepherd from the original owner. When I got her, she wanted to attack every dog she saw. When she couldn’t, she redirected on me. Ripped two pairs of jeans the first two weeks. I had been working professionally with dogs for over 15 years at that point and had never encountered such a difficult dog. Steph worked with me and within a week, that same dog wanted to play with every dog she saw. 3 years later, she has not been in one fight, nor has she redirected on me. Steph is the best!
