Sit & Stay Dog Training

I have had several dogs but never from a puppy. I was completely lost. Joana came recommended by my vet in secaucus. I found her to be very down to earth, easy to work with and very professional and knowledgeable. This is not a side job of hers, she lives and breathes this stuff. We did puppy pre k, basics and advanced basics. I found the group classes shaped my dog really well. I highly recommend to anyone in need of a trainer.

From initially contacting Joana to the end of our training session, the experience was great. My dog is an older dog at 4 years old and has never gotten any training prior to our training session with Joana. I had thought that since my dog is older, the training session wouldn't be as effective, but I was wrong. A 2 hour training session with Joana and my dog's behavior and my understanding of my dog has significantly improved. My dog is a Korean breed that is very uncommon, but that was no problem either. Not only was the training itself effective for both my dog and me, Joana also answers any follow up questions you might have after the training session is over. Highly recommended!!

Have known and worked with Joana for many years and she is one of the very few trainer/behaviorists we trust. Years of experience and it shows. She offers private sessions, great multi level classes, and can also help certify your dog for pet therapy visits amazing :)

I'm so glad I trusted all of the great online reviews I found for Sit and Stay. Joana did an EXCELLENT job training me, which in turn has helped me train my puppy, Lana. Her in-home puppy kindergarten session proved to be one of the best investments I've made in a long time. Prior to Joana coming, Lana was mouthing a lot. Those puppy teeth can hurt, so I had to nip this in the bud. She also would try relentlessly (but still fail due to her small size) to get a bite of my dinner, jump on the couch, etc. It feels like my girl did a complete 180 over night. In addition to helping me understand commands, Joana made other great recommendations. For example, I couldn't be more thrilled with the food she suggested. Lana not only LOVES her food, but she is and will continue to be much healthier as a result. If it weren't for Joana, Lana wouldn't be the girl she is today. I'm pretty sure that, if placed in a puppy of the year competition, Lana would win. I am forever grateful.

What an amazing experience I, my husband and my dog, Susuke had past 15 weeks with Joana. We learned so much and got to understand my dog better than ever. We had a different dog trainer in the past and let me tell you there is no comparison. With Joana's method, you don't need to force your dog to listen to you. My dog passed the therapy test today. Highly recommend everybody to see Joana to get the training!!
