Canyon County Towing

Unbelievable bad service. My 17 year old son rolled his vehicle on the freeway. The Idaho state police dispatched Canyon County towing to retrieve the car. I showed up at their facility within a couple of hours of the accident to see what I had to do. I was told that they didn't have the bill ready as the driver had not yet completed the ticket. I asked if I could look at the vehicle to see if I could haul it away on my trailer. Jennifer agreed and had an employee take me to the vehicle. I determined I could haul it away on my trailer and told that to the employee. We then went back inside and I told Jennifer that I could haul it away on my trailer and I would be back in a couple of hours to do so. She agreed to call with the total bill once the driver had submitted it. About an hour later she called and said it would be $364.00. I showed up a bit later with my trailer and that's when I was greeted by Mark the owner / manager. I told him the previous arrangement at which time he completely went off telling me that I am not allowed in the back yard with my trailer and I wouldn't be allowed to take my car unless his company or another tow company removed it. I asked him why I was not told any of this earlier. He continued to go off on me telling me he didn't care and that I'd better just shut up if I wanted my car. He than said that he will only accept cash....I again said that nobody told me that earlier. He continued to go off and told me if I said another word he would go back to his office and not deal with me. He finally told me that the bill would be $480.00. $120.00 more that what Jennifer told me. When I questioned the amount he completely lost it. Thankfully Jennifer came around the corner and cleared it up. I ran to the bank got the cash and paid. I had to or it would have been an additional $40.00 per day if I didn't get it out of there. They delivered the car 2 hours late and didn't call on the way as agreed. I also found out from one of the drivers at the scene that the first tow truck didn't know how to right the vehicle so they sent a second truck. I was lucky enough to be charged double fees even though the first truck couldn't do the job! This company is horrible. Mark is an A-hole and what he is doing is not legal. I will be contacting The police to have them removed from there call list. I would not recommend this company to anyone for anything.

I worked with Nathan today and he was absolutely fantastic. We had several things going on with this car that made it trickier than a typical tow and Nathan was on top of it and figured out how to best help us. He was very nice and considerate and just awesome. Very impressed. Thanks Nathan!

This company didn't follow directions on where to put the truck and made every excuse of why it couldn't be parked on our RV pad that is a 50ft x 30ft with a 35ft 5th wheel rv on it.Our truck also has even more damage to it now which is going to require additional repairs. Do not recommend letting them tow your car or truck.

Guy who towed my car dropped it at an impound lot instead of the mechanic, failed to communicate with anyone at the shop or the lot. My car sat for a day and a half with no one working on it and I ended missing work because of it.

If I could give them negative stars I would. My brand new Yukon wouldn't start and I contacted Onstar roadside assistance and they contacted Canyon County Towing. The guy shows up late covered in grease and wants to know if I mind if he gets in my car? Um Yes I mind! He hooks up a jump box to my battery and we tried to start it and nothing happened. He didn't even have the box on, that's why it did nothing! The battery was so dead that the jump box once turned on didn't work so he asked if he could use our other vehicle to jump it. We agreed and the jump worked to start the car. He then asked for a signature and $7. I asked why I owed $7? I have Onstar and I shouldn't owe anything. He calls his dispatcher which informs him it's $70 not $7. I told him I wasn't paying a dime and called Onstar back and the lady informed him I owed nothing and was covered under our roadside assistance. The guy doesn't believe her and basically blocks me in from leaving my garage or driveway. Onstar had to call Canyon County towing and then his boss called the driver at our location to tell him we didn't owe anything. Come to find out he didn't look at his paperwork correctly. I have never had to even deal with a towing company before but this was by far the worst customer service I have ever had from any company and I hope Onstar removes them from their list!
