Sadly had to surrender my two bullies Ginny and Leo. Both rescues themselves. Capital made the saddest of deeds a little less sad. Good facility. Clean. Good people.

The Worst!! I was just their Wednesday May 31,2017 and was looking through the dogs to see if I could locate a neighbors dog, but what I saw was beyond 😢. In with all the older dogs was a 3 week old puppy!!! It was on the cold cement floor with a little bed. It was noisy, cold and it had no special care. It should of been in a warm room with extra TLC!!! Lincoln Humane Society has been around long enough and has plenty of money coming in through donations that they should have an area set up for puppies and smaller dogs that give them the special care they need to. It also is shocking that more dogs are not available for adoption at the Humane Society with their being about 60+ dogs over at the Park Blvd location and I realize that some are strays, owner turn-ins, some might be aggressive but as I walked through it would seem that with all the ADOPTABLE animals at that location being dog or cats that their would be more then 6 or 7 dogs available to adopt at the adoption site. I guess the public has no idea how many animals Never really make "The Cut" and never make it out of the first stop building, Park Blvd location. Sad 😢 that Lincoln,Ne is this far behind in really protecting and giving a voice to the voiceless!!! To all of you who donate $$ to this Humane Society, I would suggest stopping in at the Park Blvd location and seeing first hand how the accommodations are for these animals, like the 3 week old puppy laying in a cold, noisy, cement dog pen, trying to survive with no extra care. It's your money, go see first hand how it's being put to use. I really think it's time to put in a New Director . Lincoln needs a new and improved system to protect these animals and as long as we (the public) turn a blind eye things will Never change and the innocent animals don't get the protection they deserve.!!!

Staff are great and the animals are treated well. We couldn't be happier with the dog we adopted from there.
