Carmelita's Mexican Restaurant

I'm admittedly jaded - I'm a West coast transplant and have had the pleasure of frequently enjoying So Cal Mexican food. The food here is good and I think a fair rating is average. I didn't get the impression that Grandma handed down any of her special recipes to the kitchen. I think the sangria was on the dry side. We are still on the hunt for a favorite Mexican restaurant that dishes up like our former So Cal haunts.

Go here as they have wonderful food, drinks and the staff are great. Had margaritas with shredded beef nachos and for dessert a fried ice cream. A great way to start the weekend!

We have been looking for a good Mexican restaurant in this area for 3 years and finally found it. Clean, attractive, welcoming and friendly staff. Servers were accurate, efficient and attentive. Chips were not salty or greasy, salsa was excellent. I ordered a taco salad that was excellent. My husband ordered a chicken faijta. It was sizzling, large portion, and he said it was the best one he has had ever eaten.

The best Mex food around! I don't normally like ground beef tacos but theirs are then BEST! Their shredded beef tacos are also great!

The food was outstanding our waitress was very good. Overall a very positive experience. We will be back.
