Carvers Steak & Chops

Food was great, staff was incredible. Only issue was that we came for the prime rib and they weren't serving it that night because they said it was too tough, didn't want to serve sub-par prime rib...totally get that...I'm glad they didn't serve it but we were bummed because that was the reason we went. Very impressed with everything otherwise. Highly recommend!

For this caliber of steak house the prices were great. The waiters and staff were friendly. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was a bit.... vanilla or bare. I am looking forward to going again in a few months to see if they have reached that potential that they are so close to reaching.

20 minutes after seating our server approaches, starts out strong after a huge delay when the place wasn't even busy. 1/3 capacity at most you'd think you'd think you would get undivided attention especially being a prized steak house but not here. Our orders were taken after she brought our drinks and our food arrived 40 minutes later. I ordered the 11 oz fillet medium and it came out rare to medium rare no where near medium. I thought this was a steak house? 30 minutes later server comes by to see if my steak was okay wanted to make it right. Me no thanks please just take it off the bill and check up on us more often. She became arrogant and snooty. Didn't see her again until she brought out our check and tried handing it to my lady? Who does this? Since when is it a ladies job to pay for their families dinner? I grab the ticket and she storms off for me doing so. I had to grab another sever from the back to help me take care of our bill. I tipped 15% when I'm majority of the time mor than twice that on tip out and wrote a little note on my ticket for managment to see not wanting to make a scene. I left to my car as my family used the restrooms on the way out. Our server takes it upon herself to address my lady and kids as they're leaving the bathroom saying you can tell your husband I'm not taking his tip, I wouldn't take anything from him. After throwing in the last word she then storms off again. Apparently this place doesn't cater to families from what I gathered here tonight. I talked with the assistant manager after the last confrontation and the manager told me there is two sides to every story that my server is usually on top of her game. Unprofessional is an understatement. I have never been so embarrassed taking my family anywhere before. CARVERS since you don't cater to families, we'll be taking our business elsewhere..

A group of 25 and the meal was coordinated very well. Food looked and tasted very good. I would definitely return to this location. I gave 4 stars because my steak, although delicious, did not come out the way I ordered it. That can probably be attributed to the size of the party.

My wife and I chose to go to Carvers in Sandy to celebrate Valentines Day. We had a great experience. I had the pork chop and she had a steak. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and everything on the plate was fantastic. Our server was incredibly happy and courteous and filled our drinks probably ten times during our dinner. We will be going back again for sure.
