Deciding to come to Communikids to have my son evaluated changed our lives for the better. My sons discomfort level with everything he did on a daily basis was becoming too much for me to handle. So, I decided to have him evaluated by Laura Martucci at Communikids. She validated my intuition, and knew right away he showed signs of Sensory Processing Disorder, otherwise known as SPD. We worked together for a year, and she got him to a place I never thought was possible. He was comfortable, thriving, and felt so much better than he had been in the past. What she did was magic in my eyes. And all along the way, spending so much time with me! Talking me through tough situations I was having a hard time getting my son through, the frustrations, the worry, and also celebrating the accomplishments and praising me for doing the work at home. My son saw not only Laura, but other OT’s as we came twice a week, plus integrated seeing Rachel for Food Therapy. everyone was so loving, patient, kind, experienced, knowledgeable, and accommodating to his needs. And a huge thank you to Russell for constantly working with my ever-changing schedule and conflicts, always finding a way for my son to be seen each week. To Karen, thank you for always helping me navigate through insurance and giving me exactly what I need to hand into our insurance company. Both my son and I truly enjoyed our experience at Communikids, and I highly recommend Communikids to anyone who needs help. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
