Montclair Speech Therapy: Lori Caplan

Lori has been my son’s speech therapist for almost three years now. I can’t even describe what wonders she has done on him. She is not just a regular speech therapist. She is this good hearted angel who transformed our lives. What I like the most about her, is her comprehensive approach to the situation. I am a super duper picky mom, when it comes to my kids. It’s not easy to please me at all. I have had couple of speech therapists work with my child, I wasn’t convinced with any of them. Lori doesn’t just work on his speech but she also addresses and works on the underlying barriers. Lori is hands down the best! My family cannot thank her enough. Thank god for bringing Lori into our lives!

My daughter saw Tanvi Amin for approximately 8 months. When she first started, my daughter would barely say anything - she didn't even say her own name. By the time she graduated, her vocabulary exploded. It takes a special person to work with toddlers and help them learn and grow. Tanvi is so loving and caring and she makes speech therapy fun and engaging for kids.

My son and improved so much within a few months and now almost a year later the improvement is amazing! What a difference in his speech! I highly recommend!!!

I strongly felt my 4 year old son's speech needed improvement and I wanted to ensure his speech was up to par prior to starting Kindergarten. I was therefore referred to Lori by my son's pre-school, and she worked with him for 7 months prior to the start of Kindergarten. His sessions were of course customized specifically for him and proved to be fun yet challenging. She gave him homework assignments and we worked together in a close partnership to ensure his success. I saw drastic improvements in his speech. My son was evaluated twice (upon my request) within his Kindergarten year by my district's speech therapist to see if speech therapy would be required. Both times, the speech therapist as well as my son's primary teacher did not believe he needed speech therapy at all. I know this is a testament to the hard work and dedication Lori put in with my son. She is great at her craft and is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging.
