We had an excellent experience. We were there on Memorial weekend and we got seated almost immediately. Our waitress was great our meal came within minutes of ordering. Our waitress even went to get our free bakers dozen of donuts for us. Didn’t have to stand in line to get them. Excellent service.

My family and I have been going to Congdon's for decades, from our grandmother, to my parents, all my brothers & sisters, now we all bring our kids; and even since I grew up here in the 80's-90's the place hasn't changed ANYTHING about their donuts, they taste exactly the same as when I was a kid! (especially the chocolate-raised!) Absolutely without doubt the best donuts in Maine, New England, probably the U.S., heck, the whole world! (I've travelled enough and NOTHING COMPARES!) They also have an awesome breakfast, can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and they serve quality "New England Coffee." Congdon's is a must visit! Everyone is always friendly, and service is exceptional. Locals & Tourists Agree. (Hint: easy to get in & out on off season, or non-peak hours, but regardless worth any wait) -CRL

I have a love for donuts but these did not live up to the hype. The honey dipped was much too squishy- so much so that I questioned whether it had been fried at all except for the fact that it tasted like dirty oil that had been used to cooked breakfast sausage. I also tried the powdered creme which was too sweet and also had a weird banana flavor. I think they must have a quality control problem as well as cross contamination from different flavors. I bought a few other donuts but didn't bother trying them. Very disappointing experience.

Always fresh. Lines can be long but always fully staffed and they move quick. It's like a Symphony of ballerinas all dancing together to a very harmonious blueberry fritter love song. Friendly folks with good eats.

I make an annual pilgrimage to the southern coast of Maine, and the trip is not complete until I stop at Congdon's. These are not your donut chain, run of the mill pastries. Big, fresh, and delicious and not a bad one in the lot! The service is always fantastic, friendly and courteous, even though they are extremely busy!
