Hella Good Tacos LLC

Just moved to the neighborhood and we are stoked we have this Taqueria within walking distance from our home. We moved from the West coast were there was no lack of a delicious authentic tacos. There is definitely a lack of that in Maine... Until we discovered Hella Good Tacos. I'm sure we will become regulars. Love their carnitas taco, tortilla chips and perfect and great job on the pickled veggies!

He does an awesome job. Good is great. Eat in and check out the salsa bar.

Had a fish and a shrimp taco plate. The tacis were really great. Came with reasonable sized and very tasty beand c and rice. Salad was not as tasty and unique as the tacos. But fine. Wish they had coffee or tea. But overall really good tacos.

If you want to wait half an hour for tacos this is a good spot.

There's a few massive issues when it comes to this place. I've lived in Portland for about two years now and this place has been on my list of places to go since the first week I got here. I've tried going here over ten times just to be greeted by a handwritten note saying that they were closed. No reason given, but it always tends to be on weekends or when something exciting is going on in town. This is a huge problem because the owner is clearly more concerned with going out than running his business during peak hours. The other big issue is the nickel and diming. Between being required to clean your own tables, pay extra for basic toppings, and the seemingly infamous 'chip' issue mentioned several times here, this place makes the customer feel both ripped off and undervalued because the laziness of the owner. The burrito was sub-par. The service was non-existent, and the business model is downright embarrassing. Take the 'Bernie for President' sign out front as a fair warning and just go to Chipotle. It's a shame because I really wanted to like this place.
