It's good food on the right times and dates. And unless you find the menu then it's up to luck. Over all they usually have good choices.

The Cowell Stevenson dining hall has a nice selection of items that they always have, like the salad bar, milk and yogurt, breads and bagels, other spreads, and the sandwich bar. However some of the hot meals are sub par. On most days there are 2-4 items that are delicious and well made, and acceptable sides. On other days, there is nothing edible. The chicken always has a lot of bones, and some of the items are served twice it more in one week. The dining hall is also expensive for the quality of food compared to what you can get elsewhere.

As a performer, I had a great time.
The students were helpful in setting up the stage.
The staff was friendly, helpful, easy-going, and down-right cheerful even.
It was a Mardi Gras event. So, the place was decorated and colorful.
We provided NOLA-based Zydeco music, and we were pleasantly surprised to actually see (a few bolder) people dancing in the spirit of tradition.
I was even impressed by how close the food was to traditional Cajun food. That, doesn't happen too often.
BTW, the view was glorious.
A very pleasant experience.

I prefer my food fully cooked, and preferably to not taste like plastic. For human standards, 1 star. For animal food standards, possibly 2? Depends on your animal. For dining hall standards, its a strong 3.75.
