I’m very disappointed with CubeSmart. My husband and I rented out a 10x10 climate controlled storage unit. 5 months in they raised our rent rate by $40. When I called customer service they transferred me to the site where I was hung up on. When I called again, they told me they sent out w notice to us in June via mail of the rent change note it says in your lease they can change your rate at any point as long as they provide 30 day notice low and behold we NEVER even got wind of this notice, nothing vial mail or email. I was told someone would reach out to me and never heard from anyone. We ended up moving our stuff out yesterday. I do not recommend using them at all.
Mike, the manager, was very professional and kind and helpful. Had you not raised the prices continually from $80 all the way up to $141 in a mere 2.5yrs, we'd still have two big units with you. Hopefully we can stay with you without even more quick and sudden increases.
My friends bought a unit on an auction site. Great finds and amazing staff
I didn't feel like i was respected or my storage needs where handle
I would never recommend this place. The manager is a complete arrogant person and has smart remarks.
I liked Cube Smart Storage when I first started renting from them on April 30 2016. The male managers were very friendly and hospitable. What I had an issue with was every two months my rent kept going up at very high rates. When I first started out paying for my unit it was 78.00-81.00 then ever two months the rent kept going up. Ultimately within the two years I was there my storage bill went up to over a hundred dollars a month. So it was about a 30.00 rent increase within a two year period. Being a disabled woman of color.of renting the unit that made it very unaffordable for me. I ultimately lost my storage unit and all my things that I acquired for several decades because of the prejudice and discrimination I received in the workforce. my disability that I wasn't born with kept me for working and earning income so which means I could not afford my unit. I made the management aware of my medical condition and the difficulty I was having making money. They were sympathetic to that but ultimately they had to have money for me renting one of their units and I understood that. I ultimately lost my storage unit and all my things in December 18 2018 because I simply couldnt pay the bill because of my disability and oppression I know that this wasnt the managements fault because I did not have the income but the management Izzy and her staff and boss at the time could have at least given me at least a friendly reminder before threw all my and my family property in the garbage or whatever the management did with my property on December 18 2018. I lost mostly everything from my past history and present.
I was a customer for years and then we fell behind during the pandemic. I tried pay what I owed online, but they said I had to pay in person or over the phone. When I tried to call no one ever answered. I wasn't able to drive up there, especially not know if they were even open, so I kept calling and leaving messages to have someone call me back. I even called customer service and he left a message on my behalf as well. Long story short, the payment kept increasing, no one ever called me back, the unit was sold... I would expect for them to try harder to collect their money from someone who was eager to pay it off, but the only person who could take my payment the office manager didn't seem interested. I doubt they got much for what was in there anyway. I think it would have been in their best interest to keep me as a customer.
We keep our personal belongings at this location, and the service is nice. It's an keypad entry so your stuff is secure. From time to time we may make a late payment a day or two late. They do a good job with sending us reminders. We haven't had any complaints and have been with them for a few years.
Super easy and quick process. Both ladies working there were extremely nice. The first month was free, which helps, because you're still buying some furniture covers, and there's insurance and an initial fee. That being said, they could have charged a million dollars, and it still would have been an overall pleasant experience. I was very surprised by the experience.
Melanie, the manager at the 3344 Morse Road Cube Smart location did a great job for me. Professional, knowledgeable, and gave me all the information that I needed to make a decision on storing my belongings at Cube Smart. Frankie Meyers did an exceptional job of checking me in and helping me to get started with my storage location, locks and all and I have never used a storage unit. I want to thank Melanie and Frankie for a job well done. They really couldn't have taken any better care of me. I'm a new storage customer and I happy to recommend Cube Smart to everyone. Thanks so much again. You removed the stress I felt about storage! Jim R.
