De Palm Tree Restaurant

The spot is small, but very nice and homey. The oxtails were flavorful and fall off the bone tender, the cabbage was delicious. The staff was were nice. My only complaint was the time it took to receive my order. They opened late, and I had to wait a good 20 to 30 min.

Excellent food.Waitress was on island time. Added 1.60 to bill for credit card. Don't expect it to be open just because you're there within the open hours posted on their door. Took me at least five tries in as many years before I finally got in.

I love this little place. To be fair it is very small so if you are going around dinner time might want to call ahead, also probably not the place for large gatherings. The food is fantastic though and the owners are there everytime i have been. The service is great and she will remember you even if you dont make it there that often. I suggest the curry goat, or spicy red snapper. (There will be bones in the curry & it is a whole fish, head on but again it is fantastic)

My wife is from the carribean. We've been on the hunt for true Jamaican jerk chicken since we moved here near STL in 2002. This is hands down the best jerk chicken I have ever tasted. You have to try it to understand. I've heard some have said it's not authentic jerk chicken but like my wife says you can get different tasting 'authentic' Jamaican jerk chicken from household to household on the island. So it literally depends on who's jerk you ate! Service is always fast and easy, even when we go on busy nights. Prices are reasonable and it is a good atmosphere to hang while you eat. Family friendly. We're definitely glad we found this place and will continue to eat there as long as they are open!

Didn't like the fact I seen a bug on the table. But the over all service was standard. The food was new and exciting. But I couldn't fully enjoy it due to me see that bug. 😷Turn me off this place.🙅 Next time I'll carry out. 👌
