Dean & DeLuca

Decided to try this place during a walking tour of Georgetown. We were not disappointed! The produce looked very fresh and was displayed nicely. Floors were clean, and the aisles were wide enough to both browse while still allowing other customers to comfortably pass. While we didn't sample any items from the deli, one of the staff working was very pleasant and willing to answer all of our questions about food ingredients and the layout of the store. Wasn't able to try the wine bar or grab a bite from the deli, but I did grab a few of their adult sodas to bring home for later. Will definitely return to try the espresso bar and possibly grab some hot food to eat in store.

Giving D&D five stars even though this location doesn't sell bagels and lox. Absolutely love the customer service and, of course, the selection! By the way, ask them to warm up slice of babka bread - magnificent!

Enjoyed visiting this awesome and super historic place. The management and staff are are very friendly, informative and and helpful and decor of the place is very clean and beautiful as well. It is perfectly easy to see from m street nw

I was terminated base upon allegations that were made and as I was leaving the store some of the managers were gloating. Crazy huh but I was not being bullied or harass sure… I have started a claim about 2 weeks ago with EEOC because I have been dealing with Harassment, Bullying and Discrimination at the workplace by various managers including the my manager for several months. I informed the HR department that I have went to the EEOC and the constant harassment and bullying that I was dealing with and in their response I was told that other supervisors and managers can pretty much make up things about you and that suffice whether they are false and have no evidence of it. I emailed the person who deals with Workplace Violations and received such a bias response. Apparently, a young black girl cannot catch a break! These people have been trying to break me, to rouse a reaction from me and has tried its very best to tarnish my character and work ethic. I have spoken to several attorneys about this inhumane behavior and was told to keep a diary and take notes on my job and I was doing just that. My Manager must have felt that his job was being threaten because he saw me a few times taking notes and observing his and others behavior. In addition to, there were complaints by employee’s that he has been coming to work and reeking of hard liquor and I can also attest to that. So he went fishing and came up with this bogus idea to fire me because I would not let him search my belongings. What is also funny about this whole thing is the day I told HR I went to the EEOC the next day I was fire..... Furthermore, Dean and Deluca is really great company but unfortunately it is the people like this that work there that gives it such a bad reputation.

Dean and DeLuca is a great stop for breakfast or lunch. Lots of seating -- though it still gets packed sometimes! -- with plenty of fresh options for lots of tastes. Prices are a little high, but the quality is high. Staff are friendly and efficient.
