Delicious food and plentiful! The waitress recommended a good wine and the orange cake which were both on point. You can sit outside on a nice night. My friend and I had a nice leisurely evening. Parking: Parking available
Simply amazing Greek /Mediterranean food. I cannot say enough about this place. Our server Ellena was amazing. My daughter and I ran across this place while on vacation. We enjoyed a truly authentic spread: great fresh bread and herded olive oil, grilled calamari appetizer, the muscles dinner, lemon rice soup, Greek salad with grilled shrimp, Greek chianti, orange cake, baklava and another shredded rolled dessert that is my new favorite. We took lamb gyro plate and village salad back to hotel for hubby and it was truly amazing as well. Everything was amazing!
Home-cooked style Greek cuisine place. I recently took a visit again with my friend for a dine-in experience. My several pick up experience in the past was not very pleasant, but I was glad to find out that their service is now miles better than what it used to be during the pandemic. This time I got the grilled octopus, baked lamb, and the lavraki. The food was still basic as the seasoning for most of the dishes were limited to olive oil and lemon juice. Yet, they were great representations of Greek and Mediterranean style of cooking, and I enjoyed their simplicity. The baked lamb was our favorite as its tender pieces of meat fell right off the bone. The sauce also added a good amount of acidity that went well with the baked potatoes on the side. Past review Recently picked up their lamb kebob with a side of gratis Greek salad. While waiting for pickup, I watched how they cook their kebobs, and instead of the traditional oven method, they put the skewers on a grill and unloaded all the meats from the skewers half-way. I was initially unsure whether it would taste good, but the meats were cooked perfectly medium. However, their service was extremely slow and the food wasn’t ready by the estimated time.
Desfina is like a hidden gem of Cambridge! It was our first time here and the staff were so attentive. Food was delicious. We had many appetizers from fried calamari to grilled octopus to all 4 dips with pita bread. They were so fulfilling and had to stop to save room for my entree. The lamb gyro was a must. It came with fries and side salad. The lamb was tender and not gamey at all. Would definitely recommend dining at Desfina! Parking: There's a lot across the street for parking!
what a find, SPANAKOPITA, just like i remember, great tasting spinach pie that would even make popeye and his pappy happy, moved on into the greek salad with the steak tips, luscious, tasty, OPA! they alseaux brought out some bread with an absolutely decadent decanter of a mixture that was good on the bread and the salad... only drank sierra mist... but that was good too... friendly staff, excellent, authentic Greek cuisine
Warm and friendly service. It was a bit slow but that was probably due to it being full. There is a reason for that. The place has good ambiance and great food. The octopus appetizer was delicious and so was the roast lamb. Will definitely be back again, and often.
Nice Greek restaurant. The people there are very friendly and the dishes are decent. The lamb is good but if you don't like too tomato-y sauce you can skip it. The octopus and fish are the real stars. Try the grilled fish and you will never go back to the new-England style lol.
Food was great! Especially grilled and fried fish!Food: 5/5
Though recommended by a few people, this place was a disappointment. The tenderloins tips were good but overcooked, the pork gyros plate was dry, and the sides of French fries and roasted potatoes were both quite bad. And we had a devil of a time getting the waiters to help us when we needed them.
I have never seen orange cake in any Greek restaurant in the US. It was a pleasant surprise to see it on the desert menu and it was simply scrumptious, as good as the orange cakes we had in Sparta. It’s worth going here just for the orange cake, but the other food is great as well. Very authentic restaurant. They also had bottles of Kechribari retsina, which is from northern Greece and is never seen anywhere else in the world!
