DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY Steep prices, shoddy work, horrible customer service. Don't go here! Terrible experience. Based on good overall reviews, decided to go to this tailor for two simple hems - one dress, one pants. Was surprised to be asked to pay up front, but figured it would be okay due to generally good reviews and the simple nature of the job. Was shocked by $50 price tag for two simple hems, but after already being measured, etc., I just went along with it figuring it would be worth it if the work was good quality. Husband picked up the items the following week - I was shocked to see the dress hem (bottom brought up a few inches) was actually "squiggly" as though a child sowed it. I could have hand stitched it better! Then I tried on the pants and one leg was about a half inch longer than the other. So frustrating. Since this caused one side to still drag on the floor, it bunched up the pant leg for a very visible difference when on. I decided to pick my battles since you couldn't really notice the dress hem when it was on and just ask that the pants be fixed. My husband brought them back to the tailor for me (hard with my work in DC to get to this shop during their hours) - and the tailor refused to fix them!!! My husband argued with him for 20 minutes and finally left not knowing what to do. He told me that the tailor kept measuring the inseams insisting that they were the same. So I took out a measuring tape and measured myself - a clear half inch difference! I just couldn't understand, it's a visible difference when you even just hold them up. How could he deny that??? The tailor must have been stretching one side when measuring to make himself seem correct. I cannot believe that someone would refuse to fix obviously flawed work! I feel so swindled. I have tried to call the shop for two days now, nearly 15 calls - nobody will pick up and their is no voicemail. $50 in the trash, a lot of frustration, and now I still need to find another tailor to fix this work. In scrolling through other reviews now on Yelp, I see that there have been too many similar experiences - this was not just a fluke. Save your money and go somewhere else!

They are not cheap, but their work is excellent. When you want a PERFECT fit, this is where you take your clothes.

Over the past 6 months, I have several items altered; including skirts, dress pants, and suits. Every item was tailored beyond my expectations. I am a very petite woman and I am grateful to know that I can purchase any piece of clothing knowing I can get it altered to perfection. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, talent, and friendliness.

An EXCELLENT tailor. These fine folks fixed my suit after the tailors at Joseph A. Bank butchered it. I've gone here to get all of my clothes altered since then.

I love this place! I first came here in high school to get my senior prom dressed altered and I recently had a bridesmaid dress shortened here. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and do good work.
