Dr. Maurice G. Syrquin, MD

Excellent. Staff is very friendly & Dr. Syrquin is very kind, explains what is going on with your eyes, how he is going to treat you & what to expect or not expect in a very realistic manner. Very thorough, professional & made me feel very confident that I was getting the best care available. I had so much confidence in him that I had no qualms about him sticking a needle in my to inject medication & ultimately save my sight.

I have taken a relative to this dr for i guess about a year and a half. So we have given him ample chances. HE IS DOWNRIGHT RUDE. His bedside manner is horrible. He is trying to squeeze in as many patients as posdible that he rushes through the appointment so fast. God forbid you have a question. It was easy to see that he was annoyed by the inconvenience. I might be able to tolerate it if he had helped with the eye problems, but he hasnt! He is just rude and acts as if he is doing us a favor by seeing us!

Unfortunately our experience with this Doctor was horrible. We were asked to pay cash and only cash during the month of December because that is how the doctor gathers his funds for his employees Christmas bonus. The facility was dirty, unorganized and his staff did not seem educated at all. Please don't waste your time here.

Emergency Laser done on Saturday April 9th at 8:00am. Called after hours number at 5:30am. Spoke to Dr Syrquin he said he would meet me at office at eight. When he arrived construction crew had road blocked to remove large crane. The doctor had to speak to the foreman and threaten them with a lawsuit to allow me to be seen. He got them to wait and preformed laser surgery to keep my retina from detaching. He said if I had of waited until Monday it would of detached and my chances of saving my vision would of been greatly decreased. This is after I was sent home at 11:00pm from Denton Regional emergency room telling me to o just follow-up with eye doctor on Monday. I am so grateful for Dr Syrquin. He is the best.
