Dr. Michael C. Goodman, MD

I went to Dr. Goodman because he could do a procedure that my regular OBGYN couldn't do. I ain't gonna lie- he is not overly warm and fuzzy. But he knows what he's doing and has a really good education and experience. What I really, really appreciated about this doctor is that he didn't question me even once for my choices. He accepted what I wanted and immediately set about telling me how we could accomplish it. He didn't ask me where my man was, if I was sure about doing this or insinuate that I might regret it later. He seems pretty no-nonsense and when I expressed concern that the scheduling staff might be slow, he gave me his own direct phone extension. He said if they didn't get it scheduled within 3 days to call him directly. When it came time to do the surgery, he got there right on time and came to talk to me beforehand. Once again, not Mr. Warm-and-Fuzzy, but I could tell he had some empathy for how I must be feeling before the surgery. If you want a doctor who's really good and gets stuff done, go to this guy. If you want someone to hold your hand and baby you, don't. Personally, I'd much prefer someone with skill and experience any day.

Avoid this doctor at any cost! First, I made an appointment with another doctor and somehow they put me with him. Then I decide to give him a try. He spent 10min with me telling me it was ok to ignore my hematuria even though it comes every other month and ignores my worries about my structure change. By the end, he told me "all I can do is to put you on birth control". Either he is totally an idiot or he doesn't care about his patient at all!
