Great campground!!! Very family oriented and peaceful. This is where I take my family to relax and have some fun. The staff is friendly. And the campsites are large.

Beautiful grounds. Great location on the river. Lots to do. Downside, you are harrassed for driving the speed limit. I was accused of speeding as I pulled in the gate as I was slowing down from my already 3mph pace to show the gatekeeper my parking pass. I couldn't hang it from my mirror because I have a city safety computer and there is no where to hang a tag from. So, I placed it in my window and was harrassed each and every time I went in and out of the campground. Also, quiet hours. We are by no means loud or obnoxious people. After the quiet hour began we shut off our radio and sat underneath our awning playing cards quietly amongst ourselves. We had 3 sites in a row with no neighbors. We were asked 3 times to be quiet by a man who roamed around with a clipboard. We were not even making a peep. If they want you inside your tent or camper at a certain hour they should say so. We really felt that it was a damper on our vacation. Also, to get back to the speed limit issue, I actually had to take video recordings of my speedometer to prove I was under the speed limit. This should never happen on vacation. We're not rebels or rules breakers. We aren't disrespectful people and we just felt as if we were being treated as such. For this reason alone we won't be back. Sad really. Grew up camping there. Tradition lost.

I've stayed here twice while kayak camping down the Delaware. Both trips have been off peak (weekday in early September after Labor Day). The first time I was search for place to stay while I floated down the Delaware. I was near Dingman's Ferry and got mobile signal. They provide me good directions and ensured me that I had a spot for the night. When I arrived they had nice river front spot for me and the owner helped me carry my kayak up the embankment to the site which was really helpful after paddling 38 miles that day. I was there on Thursday night and it was very quiet. The nice hot shower was appreciated and helped me avoid complaints when I was picked up at Frenchtown the next day. Also, the owner gave me guidance on getting through Foul Rift the next day. My second visit was equally enjoyable. We had great river front site (Wednesday) and the campground was pretty vacant. Bathrooms and showers were great. I plan my layovers on the river so I can stay here. I am cognizant that pass through kayak campers can't be their main business and would not expect single night weekend stay during the summer. This is great campground! I will be back.
