Bucks County River Country

Great Place, but sometimes very slow to get us up to the launching site. They need to upgrade a little. I still would recommend this to everyone.

It was fun but when we got there the tubing was cancelled due to water temps and I wish we would have known that. Canoeing was fun but the rapids were a little tough and no one warns you about them

Tubing experience was great. Short lines, short wait, quick drop-in. The food stand has a lot to be desired. Waited over 30 minutes for a burger. My suggestion would be a simpler, easy to read menu with straight prices listed. Also, the wristband food deal was limited to hot dog or hamburger. I'd rather pay $6 for more options, than $5 for only a few.

The tubing trip was very pleasant, dealing with Buck's County River Country as a tour operator was painful. Be prepared to spend $$$ on extras above the cost of the tubing trip. For instance, parking $6, a rope (thin nylon line to tie two tubes together $5, car key storage $2, a locker (open top plastic bin unsecured on a shelf) $5, etc. You cannot bring your own water bottle, but you can buy them from their concession after you purchase a beverage. It goes on and on. Think of this operator as a theme park complete with loud music and lots of roped areas for crowd control. Be sure to bring your wallet and lots of patience. Two things stood out above all...there were literally hundreds of life jackets available for use but you are not required to take or wear one on the river. I guess their insurance company does not care about liability. And finally, there were 39 signs (yes, I had to count them to believe how many) on the property warning you of their rules, things you must do and cannot do...it was blinding. This operation is all about control and making money at every possible opportunity.

I had an excellent time with Kaci Amos, Lisa Amos, Johnny Gilligan, and Sean Bettin! ( and all their other floaters! ) I can NOT wait to go again next year!
