Delaware Canal State Park

Excellent summer bass, pickerel, sunfish and carp fishing up the entire length of the canal. Spring trout stocking. Beautiful scenery all year round. The tow path is a great place to walk the dog, ride your bike, or just take a long walk in the fresh air.

A very nice park. It's unique in that it's long and skinny. A park equivalency of Chile. Definitely a good place for a relaxing stroll or bike ride. Cool locks throughout, wildlife, fish, turtles, etc. Also runs through some nice sleepy pa towns

I hike the trail along the canal often. It can get a little muddy at times but it generally is not very crowded. Nice views along the canal and the river. Terrain is flat and the trail is covered with stone. Definitely good for beginners. I walk all my dogs there frequently. Nice and wide so passing people or hiking with groups is never a problem.

Great place to go take the kids so much to see and do! Loving coming up when it's nice out.

How could anyone give this park less than five stars? It's free, beautiful, extensive, and natural. It certainly beats anywhere in Philly.
