Tyler State Park

Family trip to the park. it's been nearly 30 years since my and i family moved away from newtown. i was 12 years old. my wonder years. that year was 1991. the covered bridge burnt down and was rebuilt. though i hadn't this until recently! Walking through the rebuilt bridge along side my son, who is 11, and the same age i was during one summer vacation where I had spent every moment. Gave me chills...Aside from the now taller tree tree lines around the park, nothing has changed..and the bridge, 'my fort', was the same bridge that holds countless memories of my, and others' youth.

Really nice park so close to significant metropolitan area. Nuce large playground, shady picnic areas, beautiful views of creek, several miles of walking trails. Watch kids closely near traffic areas, Park Rangers strictly enforce speed, but many drivers are well above speed limit

This Park is a gorgeous place for picnics, fishing, running, and all other types of fun. There are numerous trails you can take through the park, it is a place for your lovely pets, and there are bathrooms so you don't have to worry about it. Grills are already there, just need to bring your food and cook it, and enjoy the nature, It is truly incredible. this is an amazing park to visit, which I highly recommend.

This Park is a gorgeous place for hiking, fishing, running, and all other types of fun. There are numerous trails you can take through the park, which you can see in the pictures I provided as well as a covered bridge. I have spent numerous hours throughout days and days at this park. It is truly incredible, and a off trail hiker’s dream! This is an amazing park to visit, which I highly recommend.

Great places to see, lots of paved & unpaved walking trails all over the park, there is canoeing, picnicking, Frisbee golf and lots more, just relaxing under a tree or sunning in a field, taking photos of nature in her many states. It is a great place to lose yourself for a while while you soak up the pleasure of being out in nature. It is an all season adventure and the park changes magnificently for each one. It really is an enjoyable place to visit often.
