Go for brunch/breakfast (pancakes at the end of the strip); flowers near the middle (but there are a couple of flower stands throughout); healthy options on the side walkabout and in the middle as well (including juices and Soupergirl (the vegan soup company - which has more take-away options)). Usually crowded, so it's best to come with a small group of 2-3 but I wouldn't plan to bring more as it will be hard to keep track of everyone! If you can't find anything to eat the Market, go to the nearby Le Pain. If you're a Starbucks snob (like I can be), there is one nearby, however, it's worth waiting to grab a local cup of coffee here as well!

I went last weekend which was March 11th with very little expectations in regards to the availability of produce and such. But I was wrong! The market was packed with amazing vendors, veggies, apples, and baked goods!! I was the most fun morning I’ve had in a while! They had all the things I was hoping for- beets, watermelon radish, carrots, and the coolest selection of hydroponically grown lettuce and mushrooms!! Do yourself a favor and stop by- it will probably become my Sunday ritual, can’t wait to see it in the summer if it is this amazing in the early spring!!!💛🌞

Everything here is overpriced to the point of it being straight up rude. There's no reason for peaches to cost $4.99/lb. This is not a depachiko in Tokyo. However, lots of vendors offer free samples so at least you can try before you buy. A fun date is to pick up some bread and cheese here and go sit in the DuPont circle for a picnic. Side note: the giant blueberry buckwheat pancakes by the PNC are tasty, but would I ever pay $5 for a single pancake again? I would sooner buy a pound of peaches.

There is a little of everything at this farmers market. Everything from grass fed beef to single malt whiskey is available. I go mostly for the produce and the artesian bread which tastes amazing.
