When my roommate and I moved in we were under the impression we were going to pay 795 in rent, and when we actually moved in we happened to get a renovated unit which was 895 but we weren’t asked about this change, even though it was a nice surprise when we walked in. On the surface everything was nice and new but the carpet was poorly installed in our bedrooms and none of the transition strips held the ends therefore they frayed at the ends and left strings everywhere and the nails popped up and we would hit our feet on them. But these were minor things and overall nothing was terrible, except our neighbor yelling outside all the time, the walls are thin. And we could feel breezes coming through our outlets and under our door and floorboards. In the winter our electric bill was $200 for us to keep the place at 70 degrees. Then we asked maintenance to check our furnace and the filter and they said it looks great. It wasn’t until a month before we moved out did we learn there wasn’t a filter in there the entire time we lived there. We guessed that made sense for all the dusty we had and how often we were sick for two very healthy people who rarely got sick before. Then for 3 months early in the year our water was turned off with absolutely no warning or communication after the fact. One of those times, it was off for 12 hours, with not a word, an email or anything saying what was going on. The entire parking lot and sidewalk up to our apartment flooded every time it rained even after they did work to correct that. It flooded so much that we would walk barefoot from our cars to the apartment just to avoid wet shoes. We had a very clean and well maintained except for one whole in the wall which we tried to patch before we left, and regular tack holes. So it came to a shock to us when we were told we weren’t getting a security deposit back at all and we owed them more money! The office staff is rude and unhelpful and when I moved to my new place I found it strange that my concerns were addressed kindly and timely. We’re just happy to not be living there anymore, I would never live here again and no one should. They’re apartments built too long ago and they’re only putting lipstick on a pig.
Stayed here for nearly 2 years. In that time had a termite infestation, AC and heater go out at least a couple times each, dishwasher backed up a lot until they fixed the drainage tube, and even stairs rusted through and fell down outside. Typically was fixed within a day or so. They aren’t very good about notifying residents if there’s going to be an inconvenience for them. Like when they worked on water lines outside my apartment for a few days the water would be turned off for hours at a time with no notification. When they replaced cement drainage system throughout the complex parking lot there were times up to 1/3 or more of the complex had no alternative parking. I was obliged to park 1/2 mile away from my apartment due to this. Upon complaining to the office I received no response. When I moved out the counter top which had been filthy and needed resurfaced when I moved in was charged to my account. They said I was responsible for their normal wear and tear of the counter top. As some have said I did share a hot water tank with the neighbors. This meant maximum 10minute showers before the hot water ran out. Then about 30 minutes before any more hot water was available. The hot tub in the pool house and the pool house itself was frequently “out of order”. It existed, but wasn’t open about 40% of the time. Overall I’d give it 3/5. They have washer and dryer in unit that work. That’s worth 1 star. One of the medium level complex’s. I’ve stayed at some that are the same price and managed better. So it’s related to management. Manager was very condescending and unprofessional when I first moved in. She left a couple weeks before I moved out. No idea if the new manger is the same.
If you’re looking for an apartment, don’t waste your time and money and don’t even read the numerous negative reviews which are consistent and discuss same issues from 5 years ago. Hidden fees, terrible management staff especially Jennifer, and terrible maintenance staff. Everyone in the office is rude, they treat tenants like we work for them not the opposite. They lie and manipulate you every time you have an issue. It’s disgusting. The manager is awful, she obviously has no idea what she’s doing. Most maintenance guys come in to waste time and they never seem to solve the issue on the first try ever especially AC. If your AC is 85 in a hot summer day and you call the manager, she’ll tell you that it’s hot outside and you’re AC is working just fine. She promised to fix my AC many times but was lying every time.
My little family of 3 has lived here in these apartments for 2 years. The grounds are quite pretty, with decent amenities like a swimming pool/hot tub, tennis courts, and a dinky little volleyball pit. But this summer, the AC units in our complex began to fail. And after calling over 6 times and having 5 visits from maintenancewhich their responsiveness is appreciated the problem still persists. The AC units in this complex are no longer adequate. Your summers will be impossible to tolerate. And the maintenance crew will come over and try their hardest, but it won't solve the problem. Your misery will persist. Until the AC units in this complex are upgraded, I cannot recommend living here. I am giving this 1-star review as a protest to the living conditions my family have been forced to endure all summer.
If I could give them zero stars I would. Our kitchen sink has been leaking for THREE weeks; someone came to look at it when it first started dripping, left their tools, and we haven't seen anyone since. There is probably hundreds of dollars worth of water damages, our entire cabinet has sunken in and water is coming from the bottom and sides of the cabinet. We have submitted four emergency maintenance requests, called maintenance but of course their voice-mailbox is full, we have called the office but the phone always goes straight to voicemail, and we have gone to the office multiple times to ask them for an update and we have gotten nothing. Our dryer sounds like it is on its way out, there is a giant hole under our master bathroom sink that was there when we moved in, and sometimes our water comes out black. DO NOT LIVE HERE, we are looking to move once our lease is up.
Office staff is rude and not helpful after of course the lease is signed. The emergency staff are generally nice, but unfortunately poorly trained. The management company are ghosts and utterly impossible to contact. Rich boys hiding in the corporate world.
Refused to give my deposit back, Even though the apartment wasn't move in ready. Attached pics of the a/c unit the smell was terrible from mold/mildew. I was told I couldn't have the deposit back because it had been over 72 hours since I put the deposit down. However, they would not let me see the apartment until two weeks after I put the deposit down. The leasing agents were friendly at first but their attitude changed quick. Maintenance was terrible too. I asked them about the status of the a/c and was told "don't start with me".
I really enjoyed living here until the summer time. In the months of July and August I submitted three work orders for my AC unit not cooling below 74 degrees, and continuously running in an attempt to reach the set temp. A maintenance man only came to check it out that I’m aware of once on the third submission. I sleep during the day because I work overnight and my room was insanely hot. Maintenance said there was nothing he could do and suggested I purchase a fan. Meanwhile my electric bill was twice the cost of my normal rate, of course, because my AC was constantly running. I came into the office and expressed that I would like to break my lease due to this not being fixed all summer. Maintenance returned a day or two later in an attempt to fix the AC, and again a day or so after that to replace the unit entirely. That was much appreciated but should have been done two months prior when I put in the first work order. As grateful as I was to have maintenance come over to fix these problems, they wouldn’t wait for me to answer the door. Simply a knock, “maintenance,” and then they would use their key to enter. At least twice I had to ask them to give me a moment given that I was asleep and woken up by their knocking - as a female living alone this was a big concern. Other things to note while I lived here: I also did not receive notification about water being turned off; in the 6 months I lived there this happened three times and woken up in the afternoon to no running water, but they sent an email about residents bringing too many guests to the pool and threatening law enforcement if residents are caught with too many guests at the pool. My upstairs neighbor and I apparently shared a water heater so there would be times when I would be showering and the water would either become ice cold or incredibly hot for a moment until they turned their water off. I was unable to see my unit prior to moving in, but I understand it may have been a covid precaution at the time. When I turned in my keys prior to the end of September they did not process my move-out until after the 5th of October which resulted in a late fee and a larger prorated rent added on to my termination fees. When I contacted them about it they told me the manager would be working the next day and they would speak with them about my situation. I did not get a response after two weeks. I contacted the office again via email to confirm that all my fees had been paid and never received a response.
This literally was the worst complex i’ve ever lived in. The office staff were rude and lazy and the main office manager was stuck up! I put down a 750 deposit and paid someone to come out and clean and shampoo my carpets. The only damages I left were a few nail holes in the wall. I figured I would get most of my deposit back but with sent a letter that I actually owed them more money. While I live there it took forever for the maintenance team to come out and when I first moved in there the apartment Looked disgusting the main kitchen fixture was hanging my microwave door was hanging and ducktapes and stains on the carpet and there were several broken drawers. it took me doing a walk-through and telling them that I wanted my deposit back for them to actually jump right on coming up and fixing everything. There was constant noise and crime in cars getting broken into and the staff could’ve cared less. they tried to up the rent $100 every year but they never did any type of updates. The lawn care is horrible and the gym was constantly shut down. I would never recommend or live in these apartments again!!
Literally a scamming apartment. The stay wasn’t the best there but what really upset me is 60 days prior to my move out date I asked for the paint code because my son did mark on the wall. I was going to repaint the imperfections before I moved out. One of the lady’s in the office told me not to worry about it because they were going to have to paint over it anyways when I moved out. Well I get a bill in the mail for 100 dollars and no security deposit back because the manager marked that I have to pay for damages due to paint. I went up there to talk to her and she didn’t work with me at all. “I don’t know who you talked to but that information given to you was incorrect, you’re still going to have to pay that $100 if you don’t want to you can dispute it through collection’s and I’ll just show them pictures of your walls” so one of your employees messed up and you’re not going to fix their mess? I even pointed out who I talked to. If you want to move to a place where the management cares this is not the place!
