Pool closes at 730 during the summer. If you are 1 minute late leaving they lock out your fob so you can't get back in the rest of the summer. BS, also lawn care leaves much to be desired, especially for the price of this place. Parking is an absolute nightmare, there are times you can't park anywhere near your apartment and have to park half a mile away. Upper level apartment has severe water damage in all the cabinets. And there is a spot in the kitchen I am pretty sure I will fall through one day. Currently have a brown recluse infestation so that's great.
I am in building 13 the building that has 3 floors. I don’t understand why the apartment complex allow big dogs on the 3rd floor. I complained about the noise of the animals so much that the previous tenants moved to a different building downstairs. You would think that the apartment complex wouldn’t rent to new tenants with a big dog again on the 3rd floor, but they did and now I’m back to square one once again. All I hear is the upstairs tenants playing catch with their dog, and to add insult to injury, they walk so hard, that I hear every move they make. I would have never signed another years lease had I known they were going to rent the apartment above me to tenants with another huge dog. I have asked for corporate information, but I guess they refuse to give me that information. I am just over it, and can’t wait for my lease to be up. SMH If it wasn’t for this issue these are very nice apartments to live in. Maintenance employees are awesome. You put in a work order, they are quick to fix. Grounds are kept nice. The only other thing that needs to be changed would be summer pool hours. 7:30 is too early to close the pools.
I lived there for three years and every time I encountered the leasing office ladies they were extremely rude. Just asking simple questions seem to irritate them and inconvenience them. I had to change to a different lock because I found the maintenance crew playing with my things after try to fall asleep after getting off work in the morning. This is a terrible place to rent and I would rather have stayed in the super 8 down the road because it is kept in better condition than these apartments. Also they will find every which way to charge you extra money as I found out after trying to move out.
I lived here for a year and it was great up until moving out. I did not receive any money back from my deposit. I cleaned it thoroughly and they still found a way to nickel and dime me on miscellaneous things. I would recommend anyone who lives here to take pictures of your apartment before you move so you have proof of the work you put in. Would not recommend if you want to get your deposit back by the end of it. The landlords are nice in the beginning but do not be fooled.
One of the best apartment complexes in Wichita, by far. The thing I liked most about it was how quiet it was -- sometimes I thought I was the only tenant in my entire building, even though it was fully occupied! It is also situated away from Rock Road so that you can't hear any traffic. This is near impossible to find in an apartment. The neighbors that I did meet were all polite and respectful, it seems that this company carefully screens who they rent to. The complex is located very close to shopping and restaurants, such as Bradley Fair. It is in a safe and clean neighborhood. Any maintenance requests I had were handled and the leasing office staff as well as the maintenance crew were always professional. I would recommend Windemere to anyone!
I lived here just shy of two years. I left because I bought a house. Overall I had a great experience here. Very nice community, nice office staff, and the maintenance guys are awesome! For the money it is a steal.
I have been here for about 3 years and I love it. Even when I’ve thought of moving on to a house or a place with a yard I just can’t imagine leaving here yet. Right off of rock, easy access to a lot of places. But still hidden further back so you don’t have noise from rock area. The apt building where I am at is also quiet. And I would know because I have to sleep during the day and I sleep very well here! Area feels safe. If you use the garages they are great! Pet friendly. I don’t have dogs but they have a dog park and I see many people able to have big dogs. Very few Maintenance issues but almost always contacted or fixed the next day. Staff has always been nice and never makes you feel like an annoyance or inconvenience!
This is one fantastic apartment complex! John and Kimberly at the office go out of their way to take care of their tenants. The maintenance team is friendly, hard working and they respond quickly to issues. I highly recommend this place! The move out policy is much better than is being said. I got my full refund back at the inspection. Just keep it clean and take are of carpet, walls and appliances and you will be golden! A great place to stay and live!
Me and my sister went to look at 6 different apartments today. This was by far the worst service of them all. We went by around 11:00am and no one was in the office, so we sat and waited for about 20 mins, thinking that they may have had a tour. No one ever came in the entire time. We came back around 3:00 and was stopped at the door by a blonde lady and she even put her hand up like she was directing traffic. She said she is unable to give a tour and they have no availability. We understood and asked for pamphlet or any info we can take with us. This woman was extremely rude and uninviting. She said no if we want that information we have to look online. She could not give us any information regarding the apartment, move in, even the application fee. She made us feel as if we were below her and unwelcome. I would not rent here just because of her. Maintenance tried to help more than she did which is very sad.
First of all, just move in now. Windemere is my roommates and I’s first apartment complex and it has been an amazing experience over the last year. John and Kim in the office take care of their tenants and are extremely responsive. Kim sends out an email every Friday with reminders about the complex, events going on and local restaurants to try. Very helpful for people who aren’t from here or don’t get out much to try their local restaurants. I will admit I’m challenging to deal with and Kim shows no hesitation or irritation anytime I ask for/about anything. She is truly amazing at what she does and gets your needs taken care of. The maintenance crew works extremely hard to take care of the entire complex and are so friendly anytime you talk to them. We are in a fairway 2 bedroom & 2 bathroom with a large den on the second floor which has a huge master bedroom, gorgeous view of the golf course, freshly painted walls and trim with brand new door fixtures. At least in our unit, the stove is a little dated but microwave, dishwasher and fridge look relatively new. I love that the water and trash is included for only $30 a month too. My one complaint which is expected while living in an apartment complex is noise does travel from the people above us and the front door you hear everything in the hallway. We have never heard a noise from the people next to us, just from the hallway. We have just signed for a second year lease and hope to stay here as long as we can. There are no complaints so far. Highly recommend living here!
