a little shy of a 2.5 mile round trip trail. This is an unpaved trail, with small gravel covering most of it. Would be suitable for bikes after periods of rain when the gravel is well compacted. Excellent for walking or running. I went at about 6:30pm on a Thursday and I did not run into a single other person except for the people in the parking lot. There were a few fallen branches and one entire tree that were partially blocking the path, but otherwise seemed well maintained.

Nice hike. It's a shame that NJ didn't have the will or for sight to preserve more of its coastal forest. But we take what we can get.
