Their tourist visa process is horrible to say the least. The entire application is in Spanish. You have to hit the US flag to get English but if you open up drop downs they are all in Spanish. I called the embassy to complain about the terrible user experience and they told me that the US does exact same thing when it comes to getting a visa so be happy with the Ecuador visa app. process.

Wow, what a difference! Having have had the displeasure of dealing with the Miami branch of the embassy for Ecuador, I was entirely blown out of the water by the courteous attention and aid offered by the Washington DC branch! There is simply no comparison. Got the answers I needed over the phone and could even perceive a smile as they helped a client. If it was possible to grant a 6 start rating, I would provide it instead.
