WARNING - The repair shop may or may not be open! I'd tell you the hours that it is open Mon-Wed, but that would take the fun out of it. Here's a clue, the hours on-line not correct. I hesitated to try this shop based on the reviews - some reviews hate the place others love it. Clearly the one consistent theme is inconsistency; just like their hours of operation. My review is another mark in the this place s#%ks column.

Enchanted shoe repair is very slow, unorganized and the owner/staff is rude! I took 2 pair of shoes to get repaired and cleaned. I was told they'd be ready in a few days, but after 10 days passed I called for an update. The guy who answered the phone told me he was just filling in so the owner could have a day off. So he really couldn't help me and the owner of the store doesn't keep good records so he couldn't find my shoes! The next day I called again and my shoes were located and ready! To my surprise the were still dirty and the repair not finished! (At this point I just want my shoes back ) I arrive to retrieve my shoes the owner told me my shoes were worn and he couldn't do anything more! Even though he inspected both pair when I bought them in, demanded payment up front to complete the job and kept them for 10 days. I tell him I'am not satisfied will the condition of my shoes. He says "So I have plenty of business". So I will never come back to Enchanted Shoe repair.

I had 2 pairs of very new leather boots that my pup chewed holes into... They did what I thought would be impossible! They matched the leathers, by dying a shade darker and in texture, replaced a whole buckle, and stitched the unstitchable! These guys are very knowledgeable, reasonably priced for the awesome work they do, and just all around shoe savers! They definitely have my business!

I looked for a local shoe repair. I found them and was excited about the new place I had found. I brought in a pair of UGG boots. They had mud and some water staining. Sad to say they were worse then when I dropped them off. The suede had been scrubbed so harshly and they still had mud very visible. I will not be back. Nor will I ever refer anyone here.

Here's my experience, word for word, day for day. I bought a pair of brown dress 1/2 boots. I decided I didn't need them, but could use some black boots. So instead of returning them, I thought maybe I could dye them black. I stopped in Dr. Shoe in Worthington, but the price was very high ($50). He did suggest I do it myself and was going to sell me some dye. Needed to think it over. A week or so later, I thought I'd try Enchanted Shoe Repair, so I took them in and asked 1. How much to dye them, and 2. how hard it is to dye shoes because I thought I might try it myself. The guy there told me it was $40 and to do it right, they need to strip off the current dye and put on layers. I paused for about 5 seconds and he said "ok we'll have those to you next Monday (10 days). Are you using a debit card?". He had already rung it up. Not wanting to create a fuss, I just decided to do it and I took out my card to pay, and asked, "Does that include a shine?" He said, "Oh yeah, we'll shine them up for you." The total was about $50, which didn't sink in until I was getting in my car. I looked at the receipt and he had charged me for a shine as well. So I sucked it up and when that Monday rolled around, I decided to skip the gym and drive over there and get my boots, because I really wanted them for that week. When I gave him the ticket, he walked around for a minute and then said, "Oh man, someone should have called you. Those aren't ready." I was a little disappointed, having driven from Westerville during rush hour, but I try not to let things like that bother me. So I simply asked when they'd be ready. He went and talked to the guy working on shoes and came back and said, "Well Wednesday for sure. We'll definitely have them ready then." I let Wednesday pass and decided to head over on Thursday evening. Shame on me for not calling first; that was dumb. I get there and it's a different guy; the guy who was actually working on shoes. He said "I just put a coat on there and they need another and then need to dry." This time I couldn't help but let out a sigh and as soon as I did he said, "look I'm the only one here and we're really backed up." I replied, "That's fine. Things happen, but I really could have used a call." He said, "If I took the time to call everyone I was running late on, I wouldn't have time to finish. Look I'll give you $15 off when you pick them up." I said, "I'm not worried about that..." And he interrupted, "Well I am and you'll get the $15." He said they'd be ready Friday or Saturday. I asked if I should call first and he said, "I'll call you when they're ready." Saturday rolls around. No call. So I call them. Whoever answers says the boots are ready. So I take my 4th trip over there. It's the confused dreadlocks guy again. He says, "Sorry about that man." and hands me the boots. Transaction complete. (no $15 off) Seeing the boots were a dull, smokey grey-ish-brown-sih-black, I said, "so these were polished too, right?" He said, "Yeah, sometimes they just come out to a duller finish because of the process." I just wanted this to be over, I just said ok and thanks and left. Short version: Extremely poor communication, argumentative when I think I was being pretty easy going, 4 trips, boots that look meh, not worth anything NEAR $50.
