Exile On Main Street

The great local record store that you can never find time to visit. There are gems to be found in Exile on Main Street. Staff is friendly and not overbearing. Prices are above market value esp for used LPs based on condition. The store probably needs to do a clearance sale to rid the stacks of crusty old 70's and 80's butt-rock albums. Also investing in contemporary (Rock, Hip Hop, Electronic etc) would bring new life to the offerings and maybe new customers. While mentioning such trivialities, the weekly hours of 10am-5pm are incredibly inconvenient and a deterrent for those who have a job. Would be great if they were open till 7 or 8 pm. Who buys an LP on a Tuesday at 10 am? The unemployed? Trust fund kids? (now in their mid 60's) I don't know how this place stays in business but I glad that they do.

This store is the best! I've been hitting it up since my dad bought me my first album, Beastie Boys, License to Ill, at their old, old, store. Back then they shared the space with the dude from the Comic Outpost and it was located where the art gallery is today. I travel around the country for work and hit up every record store known to man. I'm telling you it will be hard to find a more knowledgeable, nicer, and f n chill as the great peeps at Exile!

Sandy and company are the greatest. Always friendly and super helpful. My favorite store ever. I can't say enough good things about the whole experience.

I have been getting my music from exile for a lot of years. :-) Best music place..maybe the only one offering such variety..Sandy and staff have always been able to figure out the songs I was wanting, with just a few lyrics..amazing.. I love the place.. I am glad they are here.. Thanks Sandy for all the years of helping to keep my music up to date..:-)
