Fallingwater

I’m no architect and even I can tell this is no doubt an architectural icon. I am a geologist and a place like Fallingwater sees the most happy marriage between the two. There is never a bad time to visit but I think spring must be my favorite. Water is rushing and all the vegetation is absolutely exploding back to life. Visit and be forever changed.

It is an amazing design, placed at an amazing location. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable, and the tour was very well organized. Nice gift shop as well. Take your time to enjoy the tour as well as the drive to and from the place, as the nature around it is very beautiful at any time of the year. If you have visited any other of Frank Lloyd Wright's designs, this one will simply blow you away.

Our tour guide was good. Very knowledgeable about the house and history behind it. We were able to go out on the terraces however we were not allowed to take photos during the tour. The architecture is an art itself and it was interesting to see how all of the pieces of the house fit together. Overall I would recommend going to see and it is only a 20 minute drive from Ohiopyle and the campsites.

Amazing use of genius architecture while utilizing the natural landscape makes Fallingwater a masterpiece. The grounds are maintained so beatifully. The lush setting is captivating and all I could hear were the sounds of various song birds and water cascading over the rocks. My experience was a profound feeling of serinity. I am planning to revisit very soon!

Lucky to have been in area on GAP bike tour. 2 miles from trail. An iconic place that has to be seen in person after reading about in school. Visually stunning but the sounds of nature surrounding the house made it an immersive experience.
