This is a beautiful historic landmark farm that breeds heirloom sheep for their wool. The family lives and works the farm daily as their livelihood and has for generations. They also have the wool processed into yarn and travel around the country to shows selling their wares. In addition, the farm uses local resources to provide a cycle of reuse so that waste products from other local businesses can be used to benefit the farm and its animals. With great honor, this fantastic farm is also privately owned and run by a woman who has inherited it through her family and made immense improvements and changes to modernize their family business into a first class wool and breeding facility.

A great family farm run by one of the hardest working women I've ever known. An exemplary representation of agricultural design and livestock preservation. This family farm is not just a home but is also on the National Registry of Historic Places through the United States Department of the Interior as the "Frank L. Ross Model Farm" and has been recognized by the local History and Landmarks organization as a fine example of local agricultural architecture.

Amy runs an amazing farm full of beautiful animals. Her sheep are absolutely gorgeous, and produce fantastic fleece and yarn. I'm delighted that she gave us the opportunity to visit her farm and her animals, so that we can fully understand the entire "farm to fiber" process. Ask Amy the story behind any of her animals, and I'm sure she'll be happy to tell you! Shout out to Coca-Cola, Darwin, and Moonbear - they're my favorites.

The Frank L. Ross Farm in Eight Four, PA is a testiment to a daughter's love for her family and her love of the animals she raises. Amy and her husband and son have done a fantastic job of continuing the legacy of a true family farm. I have been there many times and it is a joy to spend time there and enjoy a trip back in time. If you haven't been there in person, I recommend you give it a try. You will be pleased and surprised!
