Flores Mexican Restaurant

Okay, so from the beginning the chips and salsa are on point! However after that the food was very disappointing. I got the cheese enchiladas plate.. let me tell you the plating and food looks delicious. ..but once you taste it...the rice has little to no flavor, the beans are pretty good, and the enchiladas... waow...the tortilla tastes like it was heated in a microwave, and the cheeses taste very sour. Staff was nice. One thing is for sure never EVER coming back.

I want to like Flores. We were regulars at the original location near the y, but after three visits to their new location I just can't get a decent experience. Tonight we planned to sit outside, we got a table but the place was a mess. Food, napkins, you name it, it was on the ground and flies were everywhere. So we decided to eat inside. We ordered three margaritas, they get forgotten about, we remind the server, all three show up wrong. Food shows up and sides weren't there. We remind him about the sides, but they never shows up either. Server says he'll remove the margarita my wife didn't drink and the sides. Bill comes with nothing removed... The two previous visits were similar and therefore I'm giving up on Flores.

This is probably the best Mexican restaurant I've been to in Austin. And I've been in Austin 25 years. We shared the fajitas for 1. And we took leftovers home. Enough said! And the margaritas... phenomenal.

There for lunch. Great specials across various tastes. Very accommodating to one of our party with dietary restrictions. Great prices. Excellent service.

Food was great and our waiter even better. They also have a nice outdoor playground and sitting area. After eating, my toddler love getting to go play on the playset.
