Nice hike to the visitor center and ruins although it does feel like more than 1.5 miles. Very nice displays at the visitor center. Overall, a very interesting and historical place to visit.

A beautiful walk to the old fort. Takes more than an hour. There's a nice store with restrooms and a little museum inside. With a huge deck and rockers to enjoy the breeze.

Three mile walk round trip from the parking area off of the dirt road. The trail is filled with wonder and historical sites. Bring water and good shoes. Fort Bowie is serviced by rangers who have homes an 1/8 mile from the site. Bathrooms at fort. No water -- I believe.

A wonderful experience! We hadn't done enough research so we didn't know there was a hike to get to the actual fort, but it was worth it for sure! Bring water, and snacks if you have kids. It's 1.5 miles to the fort with lots of stops on the way.

Excellent hike for all ages in decent hiking shape. Visitors center is nice and informative. Well kept grounds and clean restrooms. Off the beaten path and worth taking the kids and those looking for a day trip.
