Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block

really enjoyed the exhibit on clothing; the other exhibits were nice and really helped give a feel for the area, and I appreciated that all the signage was bilingual.

My wife and I made it out one afternoon when the babysitter was cheap. So, admittedly I was already having a good day. But still, we had a great time. The exhibit at the time was a rug collection, and I never knew I could be interested in rugs! The facilities were immaculate, and even though it looks small from the outside of feels very open from within. Outside of the traveling rugs (flying carpets?) there were several southwestern exhibits and even a classical section which were rather impressive. All in all an enjoyable trip for sure. We might go back when a new exhibit comes into town.

The architecture of the building its self is interesting. It is a fairly small museum, so newbies won't be over whelmed.

An impressive collection, with new exhibits frequently. The members-only events are always enjoyable! We miss John from the gift shop, though!
