This would be a really nice beach, but unfortunately a lot of plastic pollution can be seen in the sand. A beach clean up is seriously needed, locals need to have a bit more pride in their natural attractions. It in unclear why there are so many positive reviews being made, particularly by local guides. Who likes to sunbathe in rubbish?

It looked pretty cool. A lot of reconstruction and renovation going on. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I was looking for a campsite, and unfortunately they only allow campers on weekdays during the summer season.

Decent campgrounds, nice beaches with friendly locals, former and current military sites. It's also the site of Gunnison Beach, New Jersey's only legal nude beach.

Beautiful beaches, historic military structures. Revolutionary war era lighthouse. Wildlife sanctuary.
