Giant Food

This giant Giant is relatively new and includes up-scale touches like a craft beer bar and a Starbucks. The staff is knowledgeable and thanks to their union, much better paid than the folks at Whole Foods. As with all large groceries I'm a tad wary of the fish and sometimes the produce is less than great. But in general the quality is very good and the international aisle includes a surprising number of British, Israeli, German and other items. A store where you can get marshmellow Fluff and Bitter Melon and Yorkshire Gold tea and a big thing of ground beef is very welcome.

This is "my" Giant. I have shopped in several Giant stores in DC/MD/VA and this one is my favorite. They have good amount of vegan items, including yogurts, milks, cold cut substitutes, tofu, etc. Sometimes, the items run out of stock and are not available for few days, but that's OK. Stores is usually clean and staff friendly. I would prefer even better produce section. Parking is fine, always plenty and free. I wish there would be a bike rack.

Great selection of everyday and specialty food items. Easy to maneuver and check out the earlier one goes in the day.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I've never been thrilled with it, but it's local and convenient. Recently, they got just so lazy, I'm just disgusted with it and won't be going back, ever.

Giant has great sales. And the sale's are always on preferred items. Their peoduce always looks fresh and the aisles are neat and shoppable.
