University of the District of Columbia

It is a shame that after paying the application fee and being sent an acceptance letter I find out there is a hold on my account. After looking into that, I was told I have an unpaid balance from 2005. I was also informed I had made payments which total about 75% of what was owed initially. I was told to see if I qualify for amnesty to cover what's stilled owed. I did and was told no. The reason being is I don't have a GPA of 2.0 at the time of owing. I don't have a GPA because I had withdrew from classes before I had received any credits for the classes I took back in 2004. I am very disappointed and feel let down. After all, I thought I would be starting classes this summer. UDC does not care about DC citizens trying to get an education. My situation is very unfair!

One of the best experiences I have had as a student. The professors were extremely helpful in guiding me to obtain an education . The facility is improving and they have an excellent student center. The student body is very a diverse population. The administration staff are as friendly. as you are to them. In other words if you act a fool than expect to be treated as one. 😊

I would want to give it 3 and 1/2. I liked the teachers and the learning experiences. The students not so much. The teachers I had answered their emails. My counselor not so much. Other than the students and the non teacher staff. Loved it, definitely. I graduated from here with my masters 😊😊😊

The WORST University standing, one of the staffs named Erick Myrick was the rudest of all, I wanted was know why I had an admin fee placed on my student account so I can order my transcript.... I am glad I am no longer with this University.... staff do not care, why then do they work in a school. who is the HR that hire this folks must be blind!

I agree that administrative work is little slow but when it comes to education and professors, I would say they are really great, knowledgeable, kind and caring. They always try to help you to learn and never let you down. They always support brilliant students in the class and on the other hand they never abandon weak students too. Some people complain that school building architecture is ugly but just keep in mind the UDC construction completion dated back to 1851. So, I don't let this to impair my judgement about very good professors and education in here.
