Goodwin Community Health

I showed up with my niece and we were eight minutes late for dental appointment. We stood there in line for at least a minute before we were called to check in which then took a minute and then we were told that the cancellation policy was for 10 or more minutes. After that you’ll be rescheduled. I complained to the receptionist Holly and she repeated policy... I explained that it is sleeting outside and that my niece was missing school to be there. Rather important, considering we were just on the cusp of the cut off time and yet they still told us that we had to be rescheduled because Dr. McLaughlin decided... I don’t believe this policy is good or fair to consumers. This is not my first time making a dentist appointment and Avis Goodwin or Goodwin community health, services low income people. I believe they are trying to treat low income people as second-class citizens and I believe this is an unacceptable practice! Medical and dental appointment policy is and always has been no more than 15 minutes late. Everyone is aware of this policy and it has had precedence for many years. Changing it to 10 or 9 minutes is unreasonable and causes people to waste their time. Just because we are lower income does not mean that we are low on respect. Bad weather and poor road conditions happen! Policy should reflect reality! Please review and correct this practice.

The staff is always friendly and professional, Trudy Trumpy PA is my health care provider. I highly recommend her, she asks the right questions and listens to your situation. Knowledgeable, professional and great personality

Very friendly staff who are quick with their call-backs. It is easy to get appointments scheduled, they have Sat AM hours, and they even have a NordX lab right in the building. Plus, their fees depend on income, which is helpful for the uninsured. Even though I moved an hour away, I plan on staying with my doctor.

The staff is always friendly and response time is fast. Trudy Trumpy, PA and her team are always so knowledgeable and helpful. Truly understand quality medical care.

Trudy Trumpy has been my provider at Goodwin for many years and she really cares about my emotional well-being as well as my physical well-being. She asks questions, listens carefully, and is genuinely concerned about my overall health. That's very rare these days. I never feel rushed and always leave my appointment feeling reassured that I'm in good hands. Amelia is also a wonderful M.A. Thank you both!
