Derry Medical Center

Kind of a gong show. Went in filled out medical release form for former primary, they lost it. They hounded me through the holiday for it again. I did it. Staff was rude when I let them know. Kinda screwy. Dr had a problem after one visit on a medication that I had been prescribed for 9 years by 4 separate physicians. His plan immediately was to “ween” me. This weening was immediate after 9 years my dose was cut in half. Then after two months stopped. They wanted me to come in for an office visit for no reason to get my refill of the step down drug we had already discussed to go to. The nurse over the phone took it upon herself to order me in for an office visit despite saying that’s “probably” what the doctor wanted... well probably doesn’t cut it for me paying out of pocket $150 to come in for a 30 second needless conversation to confirm what was once already confirmed just because you don’t feel like verifying it because it’s no skin out of your wallet... Headache plain and simple and frankly I don’t have time for it. I’m all set. See ya. I’m out

This had been my pcp for years. A few years ago I was looking for a new gynecologist and called to speak with someone to see if they knew/were affiliated with any gynecologists. The person I spoke with was so incredibly rude, I ended up being so confused by her attitude that I hung up the phone. A few years ago we moved and my husband decided to change to a pcp that was closer to us, and it took SEVERAL tries before we were able to transfer his medical records to his new place. Miscommunication and sloppiness abounds here. I will say that I have never really had a problem with the doctors or nurses, although you often feel rushed with no real connection (I have never had the same person twice there), but they did correctly diagnose my appendicitis years ago so there's that! All in all it's not worth the rude staff/paperwork problems you find here.

I have been going to Derry medical for more than half my life and I can honestly say my last experience here was it. So beyond incompetent, I always have to diagnose myself first because they never have any idea. I am so beyond over seeing nurse practitioners. Someone wrote on here that it seems like college dropouts and I cannot agree anymore. If anyone on here has a recommendation of a new place to go as my PCP let me know, I’m willing to go the holistic route as well. I will never set foot in those doors again.

Please avoid terrible lack of communication There pain clinic is about mind over body and Phantom pain. Lacks timely test results Staff lacks personality Doctors are always in a rush This medical center is about we can do everything under one roof Referrals too specialists are not great

Super experience. Dr Dreffer is caring , professional and very knowledgeable.
