I have recently moved to Sandown and was looking for a primary care doctor close by. I found Derry medical center as an in network center and decided to use them. I made an appointment for my yearly physical and was working on getting my medical records transferred over to them. About a month before my actual appointment an employee called and stayed I could come in sooner. I informed her I still did not get my medical records transferred, but she assured me that they could take care of it and that they could preform my yearly physical without it since I do not take medication or have a large history of medical issues. I go in that day, do my normal blood pressure etc checks. The doctor asks me if I have any questions for him and I tell him that my significant other complains of my snoring. He laughs and suggest I see a specialist. He walks me out and I go on my merry way. Fast forward to today when I receive a bill for $176.30. I call my insurance and ask what the issue is, they say its because the bill doesn't state it was for a physical. Okay maybe it was a mistake? We three-way call Derry Medical Center and they explain the $176 charge was for the advice the doctor gave me. I mean to ask a question during a physical now costs money? So okay clearly this please only cares about making money and thats okay. Ill find somewhere else to go next year right? Wrong, they say I didnt get a physical and claim I didnt come in for one. Now my insurance company agrees with me this is wrong as I came into the medical center for a check up then asked the $176 question. She says she will talk to a director and call me back. 4 hours go by and she leaves a message saying they have no evidence they preformed a physical and they wont be billing me for such. The reason this is such an issue is I need one for my employer and now need to go out of my way again to get one preformed.

I have only been a patient of this practice for a short time and have had nothing but issues so far. Firstly, plan on waiting on the phone for at least a half hour or more when calling for Any reason, before someone even picks up the phone. Several times I had forgotten who I was even calling because I waited so long for someone to answer the phone. Secondly, I had my insurance company trying to submit for a preauthorization (Twice) and the office simply ignored the requests. Thirdly, the office said they were submitting my prescriptions electronically over to my pharmacy, and they didn't. So on a Friday after 5:00 when I went to get my Time Sensitive Medication, it was Not there, and there was no way to get it until the office opened back up on Monday. I am now going with the 3 strikes and your out rule....

Dr Schiavoni and the staff misrepresented their ability to manage chronic complex medical conditions. Staff is rude and unaccommodating once you become a patient. Very challenging to get an appointment with the doctor. Many errors in the short time I was a patient there. Errors with medications, communication with other providers, appointments and records. Long wait times once in the office. They are not able to coordinate care in an appropriate, timely manner. They keep taking on too many patents and have a lack of steady support staff (they seem to always have someone new.), which creates an environment where they cannot provide appropriate care for their patients. Unless you want to use them for a once a year check up, steer clear.
