Very welcoming staff at reception. Room very good size with tasteful decor.
The hotel has a restaurant and bar. However both are closed on a Sunday. Plus the restaurant is further closed on Monday too. This is coupled with eccentric opening hours (after 4.00pm). I've not experienced such limited opening hours for a bar in a hotel of this standard.
Sadly, the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Very limited range and not much of it.
Overall, it's a good hotel. Just be aware of its foibles.

Welcome / check-in staff were awesome. Having staff that connect as people while still maintaining the professionalism of a hotel of this caliber is a true pairing. The cleaning staff all looked like they enjoyed their jobs (you know those instances I'm referencing) and the location is beautiful. Highly recommended.

The Goodwin hotel is a great find in Hartford. I was a big fan of the decor throughout the building- everything felt very modern, polished and well thought out. Our room felt a little cramped, but it definitely packed a lot of stuff into the area it had.
There was a refrigerator, safe, and Keurig coffee maker all hidden neatly into one of the closets.
The bathroom was great- the walk in shower was a very nice touch.
The area surrounding the hotel was nice as well, with plenty to do within walking distance!

I love my stay here. The building outside was very charming and inside was very modern and up to date. Let's just say the staff went out their way to make sure that I had a great experience. They even made sure I had the roses and wine as I requested. Thanks to the two ladies one the morning shift Crystal and Margarita!

Wonderful hotel in the center of Hartford. Within walking distance of many great restaurants and office buildings for work. Power and USB outlets everywhere you could need them. Two different styles of pillows on the bed for your preference staff, including the valet staff were extremely friendly. Best continental breakfast I've ever had. Very nice bathroom with a great sink and mirror fixture. Comfortable couch with a very soft blanket to relax in at the end of the day and a book by Mark Twain on the bed side table to read since I forgot my own book. The in house restaurant was under construction while I was here, but the front desk was able to recommend some excellent take out places in the area. They helped me find the Salute restaurant which I will most definitely be visiting again, within a 4 minute walk from the hotel.
