Gramercy Tavern

One of New York's best restaurant...The tavern is comfortable and inviting. The back dinning room is big and bold. The food and drink is always on point.. The staff is well trained and the food is nothing short of wonderful.. Great place to wow a date,get engaged,special moments or just a regular night out.tavern excepts walk in. The dining room expects reservations. But you might try to walk In..this restaurant is a NO TIP PLACE..DON'T START TO CRY.understand you'll end up paying the same.

Gramercy Tavern has to be of New York City's best and most dependable restaurants. Our recent dinner was a wedding rehearsal dinner in a private room. We had a delightful husband and wife server team who brightened up the evening. The food was excellent start to finish. Dealing with the restaurant management in arranging the event was a joy. It is expensive, but unquestionably worth it.

This place really went above and beyond to make my dinner anniversary super special. They were able to accommodate me to an earlier time so we can make it to a comedy show. We got seated right away and was served two glass of champagne. Then we got the 3 courses menu for dinner. They cost $129 plus tax. Gramercy Tavern is a non-tipping restaurant. Hospitality Included. Every single thing that we got was cooked to perfection and zero complain. This place definitely earned their five stars. At the end, we got a coconut meringue cake with Happy Anniversary sign. So happy and grateful!

Fantastic food and service in a fairly relaxed atmosphere. We had lunch on a weekday and it was a good mix of business and casual diners. Can get loud if you're next to a table with traders/bankers but hey this is New York. The 5 course tasting menu for lunch was superb, each course better than the last. The duck breast was sublime. Highly recommended!

This place offers the relaxed ambiance that all European restaurants offer, without the great cuisine. I was very disappointed by the execution on this side, especially given the rating and price of the restaurant (we were 6 and totaled just under $1900). In one my my dishes, pasta was served with cooking water still dripping from them on the sauce, which in my opinion feels really cheap. The ambiance and decoration of the restaurant is very pleasant and good looking, but it’s the only strong point of the restaurant. Go there if you want to discuss business and show off with a high value bill, and none of your guest is a food enthusiast.
