The Smith

The restaurant was suggested buy a local taxi driver Vincent. We arrived early and seated promptly. The first impression of a restaurant can make or break your meal. Our server was excellent but it was a team effort for all the servers looked after each other and the clientele. The food arrived in a timely manner hot and absolutely delicious. It was brunch time so I had ordered the French toast with sauteed Banana Foster on top. Oh and don't forget...candied bacon! The restaurant was spotless! My favorite part of the restaurant was the co-ed restroom. Not only were the water closets spotless but totally private. And a great photo opportunity. I highly suggest you go and find out for yourself! Definitely a must go to restaurant whether you're a local or on vacation.

Great spot with good service. The staff is warm and inviting. Food comes out pretty fast. Great selection of draft beers. The restaurant provides a comfortable envelope for dining. Very open and spacious. Clean facility with bathrooms located on the lower level. Also, downstairs is another bar and dining area that's ideal for a private function or a catered event. The food is decent. I'd definitely go back to this place again. Check it out.

The service at east village Smith is absolutely wonderful. I really liked our server but can't remember his name. Vibrant friendly and clean atmosphere. Again like most the Smith restaurants because the interior is designed with tiles , sounds are reflected and reverberated into the interior making it hard to hear your dinner partners speaking . Much of the time I had to raise my voice with a sore throat in order to get what I wanted to say across. Food was good especially the desserts like toffee pudding and apple pie. It was absolutely delightful. Not a big fan of the Mac and cheese that the food channels so hyped about. It was rich but the flavors could be tweaked just a little. Otherwise worth the visit.

I removed one star for volume - it can get very loud and can give it more of a sports bar vibe That aside though the service was great and the food excellent. I had the meatballs and spaghetti on one of the occasions we have gone here and I have to say it was some of the best I have had in the city. It does get a little overcrowded though - which is great for the owners of course! The brunch menu is not that great so I would suggest going for dinner on a first time visit.

We had such a great time here! We loved the drinks and the bartender even allowed us to make some changes and made my drink spicy for me! The food was delicious and kept us at the bar much longer than anticipated! Can't wait to come back.
