Great American Buffet

I was hesitant about coming here after reading the reviews but as I tell folks you have to see for yourself. I'm very glad we came. The hostess was pleasant, or waiter/server was attentive and the food was good. Now I didn't care for the steak but I think its because I'm used to the steak being cooked at the window and served hot off the grill. I would recommend this place to my friends and family.

Standard buffet fare, but better than Old Country Buffet. They have a carving station, which is always a plus, and their turnip greens are great, and that's coming from a New England Yankee-I had never had any of the "greens" (collard, mustard, etc) before moving here 5 years ago. Worth noting, this is not the place to go if you're dieting- lots of carbs, fried stuff, and gooey cheese sauces. Finally, with exception of the frozen yogurt, the desserts are rather blah.

Excellent food and customer service. Friendly and helpful staff go the extra mile. Food was delicious, fresh, and well stocked. The variety of food was great -- perfect for picky eaters or certian diets. Best thing - fairly priced and doesnt hurt the wallet.

We waited 10 minutes before being seated waiters and waitress just kept walking by and looking. They were not busy so I'm not sure what the problem was. After being seated the waitress kept forgetting our drinks. I asked for steak sauce needless to say I never got it. We went to pay so we could leave, the hostess goes you have to wait since you don't have check for me to ring you up so you can pay. The hostess found our waitress and just looked like a deer in headlights it took her 15 minutes to finally produce our check so we could pay. This was my first time here and my last, nor will I recommend anyone to go. If I could have put 0 stars I would have.

Came here at about 7 PM on a Friday night. The food is decent if you keep in mind you're going to a buffet for the quantity and variety of food, not the quality. The staff were friendly and attentive. We were seated in the back room and there was an occasional gnat here and there but I can't speak for the tables that are in the open area by the food. The area they were most deficient in was the meat carving stations. There was simply no staff manning the carving stations so on the two occasions I went up to get some home and beef, I'd waited 5 minutes before I left to go back to my seat. Probably will not come back. I think you'd get better value for your money at the Hibachi Grill and Buffet across the street, particularly on the weekend when they're serving crab legs for dinner.
