Great Wall Chinese Restaurant

Been a long time customer of this place. Best Chinese place in town by a lot. Most places bury the flavors in corn syrup and let everything coagulate under a heater but never here. Generous portions, always made to order, with crunchy fresh vegetables and real home cooked flavors. Only criticism is that they are cash only but they do have an ATM on site. *UPDATE* They now take cards also!

I just had to write about our experience last night. We were out late and stopped at the Great Wall as they were closing. They said sure we will serve you, they took time to prepare two meals for my wife’s and I. They were very friendly and the food was so good. This is service that deserves a nice review, thank you Great Wall for staying open for us when we needed to eat.

I started coming here 6 years ago when moving to Fargo. We have tried just about everything on the menu. We like some things better than others but have never had anything we didn’t like. We like that it feels as though you are eating in someone’s home. We like being able to see the business owner there making sure all food and service is very good at all times. It’s a great place to eat in Fargo!

I went to this restaurant for lunch today. When I told the lady I am not a big fan of broccoli, she told me you can pick your own vegetables, so I asked for more pea pods and mushrooms instead of broccoli. I also said I wanted my meal spicy and she was able to cater it to my tastes. My lunch was very delicious. I want to thank Great Wall for making such food meals for our customers and wonderful customer service!

$14 for the triple delight combination plate. My plate had three shrimp. They told us they only put three shrimp in each meal because of cost. If I wanted more shrimp I had to pay .50 a shrimp more. Portion was small. There was no combination. Says it came with rice/fried rice and sweet and sour pork or chicken and you pick your meal. The rice came, the triple delight came and there was no sweet and sour anything. Second order didn't come with the sweet and sour dish either. $14 general something chicken. Again tiny portion about the size of the palm of your hand.
