I called Allen on New Year’s Day at 7pm. I had a burst pipe and water flooding the basement. I left a message and called four other companies, none of whom could come out. He called back within half an hour, came out promptly and had me up and running 45 minutes later. He was professional, courteous and calm in the face of my absolute panic. I appreciated him coming out so quickly when nobody else would. I would recommend him and plan to use his business for future projects.

Took two weeks to call me back; said it was an issue with the answering service. I'm always willing to give a second chance so we made an appointment for 8:30 this am. Showed up after 10:00 with no phone call to tell me he was running late or whatever. By then I was in the middle of another project and didn't realize he was here until he was pulling out of the drive; not terribly interested in dealing with him at that point, anyway. It is unacceptable to me for someone to be that late particularly given the earlier impression left with the return phone call. I had read the earlier reviews but decided to see for myself. ApparentlyI did.

He broke through the bathroom wall and took a week longer to complete the bathroom renovation for our new house, nearly pushing our closing back. A portion of subfloor he replaced sits above the rest of the floor and prevents the door from closing properly. The handle on the new bathtub broke within 6 months. When I called and asked him to come out and look at the sticking door and broken handle, he told me to call him after the holidays and then blew off my calls for two months.

It took this plumber MONTHS to put in a water filter. Unprofessional and dishonest. No one likes to have a plumber hanging around for months, doing an hour at a time, then taking off with paltry excuses. Neighbor informed me that the same plumber has still not finished his work at her house from ten years ago. Called Joe Munson, and he had things fixed the same day!
