Half Price Books

I brought in a ton of books. I really did not expect to make any money off of them because I had made the mistake of doing that once about 8 years ago when I actually needed money. I did call ahead I was told as long as I was there by 9:30 they would be able to go through my books I had already told them that I had quite a bit. The beginning of the experience was okay. The young lady helping me was sort of friendly at first but at the same time a little irritated that I had so many books to bring in. They went through all of them it took about 25 minutes. Towards the end she was definitely grumpy towards me and the other lady that was in there selling her books. I think that it may have been a little bit of an attitude issue because it was the end of the evening but at the same time it really is necessary to keep it professional and positive attitude with all of your customers at every moment of your store being open. The girls seem to work quickly and efficiently together, the young lady from the beginning that was helping me was also the one that was helping go through the books turned out to be the manager of the store. I was a little bit surprised by her snarkiness, if you will. The experience was fine overall but I would absolutely 100% tell you to never ever ever bring books in there and expect to make any money off of them. It broke my heart watching another lady, that was clearly in need of money, in tears of the amount that they offered her. The books that woman is bringing and we're actually brand new & very current. So, if you buy it there, read it and bring it back to resell it to the store sure maybe it's worth it for the 10% you may get back from what you paid. If you are thinking of taking books there in order to actually make any money 100% do not waste your time.

I really enjoy this store and all it's treasures inside: Books, videos, records, journals, bookmarks, etc! Things are organized well and easy to find. They are always willing to help if you're looking for something special. And if you have your own treasures to sell, they are willing to buy.

I love this book store! I can spend hours looking around for the well-known books to the lesser loved. I enjoy going to the clearance section...I end up walking out with at least four to ten books from the whole store. Prices are very reasonable and service was always been friendly. I do not sell them anything because that's the only complaint I have heard about them..

Fun place, interesting selections, cool kids books n gifts. some fun gift items overall. Large music selection.comics. nice people. Good parking..

I love love love this store, especially the one in Westport. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great selection of stuff. Can not say enough good things about it. 🤩🧝‍♂️🧚‍♂️🧞‍♂️
