Great, reasonably priced food. Excellent draft selection (obviously). We were seated upstairs. We were one of only two tables seated up there compared with a very lively downstairs, so it felt pretty odd. It also felt a little stuffy. I'm not sure if that was because it was a little warmer or stagnant air, but it was noticeable. The wait staff was helpful and friendly and the food arrived quickly.

Friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, and I like how they had a live band in the outdoor area. I recommend their wing appetizer. If you eat outdoors in the evening, be aware of all the mosquitoes! ):

Loved Hayseed! Unique menu, environmentally caring people and reasonably priced. If you want to taste the Smuttynose brews this is a great place to start with suggested meal / beverage pairings!

Food its always amazing. Beer is great. Sometimes service is a bit slow but the staff is always friendly and pleasant to be around. Plus, disc golf is just out the door.

With the new owner, the menu has been changed. There are now far fewer options, especially fewer vegetarian options. The beer selection is the same as it has always been, except for the change in seasonals and guest beers. I ordered their flagship beer, Finest kind IPA. It didn't seem to be very fresh. The one dish we ordered (the only vegetarian entree option) was gnocchi. It was served on a small plate in the "tappas"style (tiny portion) for $16. The vegetables were onions, black garlic and peas. For a small $16 entree, I would expect "higher end" vegetables to justify the price, such as shiitake mushrooms or asparagus. The food was served at slightly above room temperature, as if it had been sitting around and had time to cool off. They are trying to change the image of Hayseed to that of a high end restaurant, but it just doesn't work. Very poor value.
