I've rented here several times and usually have a good experience, but we picked up a rental this morning and now that we're hours away in Northern New Mexico our vehicle is completely out of windshield fluid. We've tried the stop and buy some to refill it, but the gas stations here in the middle of nowhere are sold out. It's becoming a safety hazard and now I'm wondering what other maintenance/safety items weren't checked before we rented.
My car key was stolen from me at gun point while I was in a rental car from Hertz. I even had the police report to prove it. They showed me no mercy and charged me $250 for the key so I will show no mercy on this review.
Hertz website allows you to book a car at a location which has been closed for multiple years. It’s like a cruel joke to someone on foot. Once I got to the actual location l, the Associate was courteous and helpful. 5 stars for him, 3 for the company
No one here knows what they are doing and they can’t do basic math to figure out 20% of a payment when insurance is paying the other 80%. They tried to charge me almost $500 for a $30/day rental for 13 days and then they tried to tell me the almost $500 was my 20% with tax I’ve never had such rude customer service. Enterprise puts a $100 hold and knows how to accurately bill insurance without the attitude. Go to Enterprise.
Hertz management and staff are working hard to meet the needs of Hertz customers during Covid. I was lucky to secure the van I needed for 10 days at the end of the summer 2021. The staff worked magic to get me the van I needed and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you!
Reservations made and not honored. We never got our vehicle and they could care less that they did not meet their commitment. Very poor customer service.
I booked a car online. The day before I was set to pick up my rental, I was notified there was not going to be a car for me. Steve was not very helpful, in fact instead of helping me or being empathetic to my situation, he told me to call other Hertz locations. He said he would call me when he had a car. I have been waiting 6 days. Worst customer service in the world.
They team at this location was friendly and helpful. My choice of cars fit my need perfectly. The car was clean and ran just great. Returning was easy and they were even able to give me a ride home. I’d rent from them and especially this location in a heartbeat. Thank you for making this an easy easy interaction!
WOW! I am shocked to see that they don't offer what the website said and they didn't have the car we reserved. They said there was a miscommunication between them and the website because they don't offer the extras like wifi or they don't hold cars for reservations. So they insisted that the car we got was an "upgrade" but in reality they didn't have any cars but that one and an SUV. They waited three days until we showed up to tell us that the car we ordered wasn't available. They seemed only interested in taking the money than they were interested in customer satisfaction all though they did try to keep me as a customer when they realized that I willing to go some place else. And for a side note, what the company thinks an "upgrade" is, isn't what the customer thinks is an upgrade. I will not rent from this location again and I don't recommend any rent from here. There are other locations near by, hopefully with better service.
VERY VERY unprofessional. This site had not update their hours and it's been several weeks. What is going on?! We called ahead for the rental, made the reservation and were told we could pick it up and the office closed at 7:00 pm. NOPE. Whoever runs this office has not bothered to share their hours change with the corporate office. So surely someone could make the effort to update their website. NOPE. Surely they might mention this when we called. NOPE. We ended up having to wait until the next day. The agents that eventually helped us was great. Whoever is in charge of customer relations- maybe take a moment of two to UPDATE YOUR HOURS!!! Had we not already gone through the paperwork with the insurance company we would have scraped Hertz and gone with someone else.
