Staff was flexible. It was raining lightly so they offered to cancel our reservation if we wanted or let us go.
We went and had a great time. It rained for a while then cleared up. We saw plenty of osprey and also a bald eagle. The scenery was gorgeous.
We ended up being a little late and they waived the late fee after we offered to pay it (though a late fee is perfectly understandable). Guys were very cool about everything.
The boat was older and nothing fancy, but it worked fine, and price was nearly half he price at Grand Lake, so very well worth it.

Short version: Unsafe and unreliable boats. Boats dirty and in disrepair. Overcharging for fuel. Very rude and condescending manager.
Long version:
My wife planed Father’s Day on the water for our family and friends. We rented the “Royal” , their biggest pontoon, for 4 hours on a Saturday morning. We arrived at our scheduled time and got ready to load up. We were told they were working on the boat, and it would be ready very soon. We waited a couple minutes and were told we were good to go. We proceeded to load, and the dock hand gave me the safety talk and showed me how to operate the boat. During this time he let me know a couple of things about the boat. First, they were working on the boat because the starter had “fallen off” (his words) the night before. Per our conversation, it was all good now. He also said the gauges and horn did not work because a customer had flooded the boat recently. The ship-to shore radio was not working either. Actually, it was not even hooked up. At this point, I should have refused the boat and gone to another plan. (After reading reviews, I see that these issues date back to at least last year). However, we had a bunch of people with us and we knew there were no other boats available. After strong assurances that everything was good, we left the dock.
We cruised back into a cove, threw the anchor and enjoyed some fishing. The wind picked up and decided to change locations. I went to fire up the motor and the starter just made a grinding noise, and would not start the motor. I pulled the engine cover and discovered the starter was once again falling off. It was missing one bolt and the other 3 were finger tight. With no way to tighten them, we called the marina and they sent out a boat to check on us. Fortunately, our cel phones worked, because the ship-to-shore radio is not going to help us. 30 minutes later the dock hand pulled up and checked us out. He tightened up the 3 bolts and told us again that we were good to go. (“There are worse places to be broke down” became a reoccurring theme with the dock guys). We continued to fish and enjoy the morning.
As the time to turn the boat back in approached, we decided to head back to the dock. The winds had really picked up and it was a wet ride back. We were cruising along about a mile outside the marina, when the motor quit. I tried to restart it, but there nothing happened when I turned the key. With the wind pushing us the opposite direction we wanted to go, I reached for the ship-to shore radio, only to remember it was not hooked up. Once again my wife called the marina, and they sent a guy out. He pulled up again. As in the first “rescue”, his boat had no bumpers and very little rope to tie the boats together. So we did the best we could to hold them. The dock hand quickly realized this was not going to be a quick fix and decided to tow us the mile or so back in. Once back at the dock we were greeted by 2 more dock hands. Once again we heard something to the effect of “There are worse places to be broke down”. The fuel dock manager offered to comp our fuel for the day. How in the world we burned a supposed $80 in fuel (at $4.50/gal equaled nearly 18 gallons) in less than 4 hours is beyond me! At this point I was boiling over, and my wife asked me to NOT go in to finis paperwork. She took care of it and we went to lunch with our friends. I did call and asked the young lady that answered how much fuel most folks use on a full day. She said “$60-70” for a FULL DAY.
I tried calling and talking to Paul on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. He was not available every time. Paula (manage?) did finally take my call on Thursday. She remembered our story, and reminded me of the “comped” fuel bill of $80. She was unfazed and unapologetic to our situation. No other refunds would be given, and she was totally unconcerned about a bad review. She offered no response to the safety items and lack of maintenance on the boat. She also chastised me for waiting so long to call (remember, I called Monday, Tuesday and Thursday).
